TERMS AND CONDITIONS

THE OWNER

Penrhyn Farm Cottages is a trading name of Mrs Gwen Williams. All cottages are owned by Mrs Gwen Williams.

THE HIRER

The hirer who makes the booking shall be twenty one years of age or over and shall assume responsibility for all party members and visitors.

PRICES

Prices quoted include VAT. Method of Payment either by cheque or bank transfer:
A £100 deposit will be taken upon reservation of a property and the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival date and a reminder will be emailed if balance is not paid in time.
The deposit will be accepted as part payment in respect of the booking, if the balance is not paid in full by the due date Penrhyn Farm Cottages will be entitled to cancel the booking without notice, and without incurring any liability to the hirer in respect of any loss or damage following such cancellation. The cancellation will be deemed to have been made by the hirer.
The right is reserved:

(a) to modify our prices in the light of future cost changes in VAT

(b) owing to a policy of continual improvement to make changes to Penrhyn Farm Cottages and its facilities as described without notice.

CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event of Penrhyn Farm Cottages having to cancel the booking, our liability shall be limited to any monies being fully refunded to the hirer but not to additional compensation, however where possible an alternative accommodation will be offered. In the event of cancellation by the hirer the deposit will be retained and is non-refundable. If the hirer cancels before the 6 week period prior to the arrival date and has paid in full then the deposit amount of £100 shall be retained and the remaining balance refunded to the customer.
If the hirer wishes to cancel within the six week period prior to the arrival date then the full amount will be retained and is non- refundable. However Penrhyn Farm Cottages recognizes that every booking is made in good faith, therefore if we can re-let the property for the relevant period, we will refund the hirer at a pro rata rate. Although cancellation sometimes, cannot be avoided and we recommend that the hirer takes out holiday insurance with an independent broker. Extensions can be arranged but always subject to existing availability. Penrhyn Farm Cottages are not liable for refunds  or expenses that the hirer incurs in the event that they are prevented from fulfilling the booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control.  Such circumstances shall include (but not limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, inclement weather, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, human & animal diseases, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure").  Again, we recommend that the hirer have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover these. Refunds are not available but, for certain extenuating circumstances and at the owner's discretion, credit may be given but only if Penrhyn Farm Cottages can re-let.

DAMAGE, LOSS and NUISANCE

The hirer agrees that the supervision of children, babies and any adults requiring care remains the responsibility of the hirer at all times. No Minors under the age of 18 to be outside of dwelling after 10:00pm unless supervised by parent or guardian (brother, sister or friend not included).
The hirer will be responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order and clean condition. We will pursue the hirer for any damage or loss however caused (excluding reasonable wear and tear) incurred during occupation.  If any damage has been caused, the hirer is to contact Penrhyn Farm Cottages immediately. You should be aware that you have a legal liability to pay for any damages you may cause to the property during your holiday. The hirer agrees not to cause nuisance or annoyance to occupants of nearby property and to allow reasonable access to the property Penrhyn Farm Cottages if deemed necessary. If in the opinion of Penrhyn Farm Cottages that if any person is not suitable to continue their stay at the property because of unreasonable behaviour, damage or nuisance to other parties, the contract may be discharged and the company may repossess the property immediately. The hirer will remain liable for the whole cost of the hire and no refund shall be due.
Penrhyn Farm Cottages and its employees are absolved from any liability for accidents to guests or from any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

OCCUPANCY

Occupancy begins after 15:00hrs. on the scheduled day of arrival, and ends at 10:00hrs. on the morning of departure. It is important that the properties are vacated by the agreed time so that our house keeping team, have sufficient time to make the property ready for the next arriving guests.
Sleeping in vehicles including caravans parked in or around the property is not permitted.
The total number of people shall not exceed the number on the booking form unless notified to us in writing before the start of your holiday. Please make sure you do not exceed the maximum number that these cottage sleeps!  Sleeping on airbeds/sofas is NOT allowed and you will be asked to leave.

The property will be available to the customer and members of their party only and should be used solely for the purpose of a holiday within the meaning of section 9 of the Rent Act 1977.

All properties are non-smoking.

LINEN

Bed linen is included in the price and beds are made up on arrival. Bathroom towels are provided but we advise that you bring extra towels for the swimming pool and beach use.

SMOKING

It is illegal to smoke inside any of the Penrhyn Farm Cottages and strictly no smoking on the paved/tarmac area within the court-yard at Penrhyn Farm Cottages.

PETS

Dogs or any domestic pets are not allowed at Penrhyn Farm Cottages. 

Should you have brought pets - you WILL be asked to take the pets home immediately.  If there is evidence that dogs have been allowed inside Penrhyn Farm Cottages, then the hirer will be charged an extra £100 for a specialist cleaning company to clean.

CAR CHARGING PORTS

The power supply to our cottages are limited, so please note that the charging of any electric vehicles is strictly prohibited. Please use car charging points in the local area, e.g., at Tesco or Morrisons in Holyhead.  Charging of electric vehicles is strictly prohibited from any of our cottages.

HOT TUBS (if provided)

All properties and their facilities are used at your own risk. Special care must be taken at properties with hot tubs and ponds. Before entering hot tubs, all guests are to read the hot-tub guidance which is situated within the Cottages.  Parents should ensure their children are supervised at all times. Under no circumstances should any chemicals such as shampoo, washing up liquid etc. be added into the water to create bubbles. These chemicals damage the pipes and jets within the hot tubs. When there is evidence of this miss-use, the hirer will be charged an additional £100.

KEYS

Keys will be given by hand upon arrival and the hirer will return them before departing.  Should you lose these keys during your stay - please advise Penrhyn Farm Cottage asap (the hirer will be charged an additional £50).
